Job summary

Red Sea Coastal Trading Company, a specialized logistics unit under Red Sea Global, seeks a data and logistics analyst to gather, cleanse and aggregate data from diverse sources. You will design reports and presentations that inform decision-making, while coordinating shipping, inventory, and distribution activities to optimize efficiency.

Role requires 3+ years in supply chain/logistics, proficiency in Power BI and database tools, and strong analytical skills to support end-to-end logistics

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science, Analytics or Data Management (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 3 years in supply chain and logistics operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, and database tools.
• Experience with data management/data science workflows.

Responsibilities

• Gather, cleanse, sort and aggregate data from multiple sources.
• Consult on business information needs and design/output reports/presentations.
• Coordinate shipping with carriers to ensure on-time delivery and proper condition.
• Manage distribution flow through warehouses and distribution centers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records to identify overstocks or shortages.
• Review orders for accuracy and required information.
• Plan routes and schedules for transport to meet delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate with suppliers to arrange deliveries to clients.
• Develop methods to store/transport goods to reduce costs or improve efficiency.

Position Overview:

To support the - Transport & Distribution Department through the gathering, cleansing, sorting and aggregation of data from various sources. To then consult on the business information and decision-making needs, and design, plan, coordinate and manage data to generate output reports and presentations.

• Working with shipping companies to ensure that shipments arrive on time and in good condition
• Coordinating the flow of materials and products through distribution centers or warehouses
• Maintaining accurate inventory records in order to identify overstocks or shortages
• Reviewing orders to make sure they have been filled correctly and that all necessary information is included
• Planning routes and schedules for transport vehicles in order to meet delivery deadlines
• Coordinating with suppliers or vendors to arrange deliveries of materials or products to clients
• Developing new methods for storing or transporting goods that can help reduce costs or increase efficiency
• Reviewing shipping costs to determine the most cost effective method of transporting goods
• Supporting other departments within a company by providing them with logistical support during events such as trade shows

Qualification and Experience:

• Recognized degree in Data Science, Analytics or Data Management related field (MBA preferred)
• A minimum of 3 years in a supply chain and logistics operations field (preferred)
