Job summary

Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) in Riyadh seeks a Senior Contracts Administrator to support project tendering and contract administration in Saudi Arabia. You will review tender documents, coordinate measurements, prepare payment claims, and advise on contract variations.

Responsibilities

  • Study tender documentation to identify requirements and provide input on contractual issues for tender submission.
  • Coordinate take-off quantities for contract work and prepare payment claims and final accounts.
  • Prepare detailed payment claims in line with contract conditions with supporting documents.
  • Monitor variation procedures to ensure estimates, approvals, and documentation are complete.
  • Maintain constant communication with the project team to identify work outside the contract scope.
  • Advise on variations and negotiate to protect CCC position.
  • Coordinate re-measurement of subcontract works and validate claims.
  • Provide guidance on contractual issues to protect CCC interests and improve profitability.
  • Participate in dispute resolution with Legal Department when necessary.
  • Suggest and implement training to meet identified department needs.

Job description

We are looking for a Sr. Contracts Administrator to join our project in RIYADH, KSA having the following:

DUTIES:
  • Study tender documentation e.g., contract conditions, technical specifications, Bill of Quantities to ascertain requirements in order to provide necessary technical support and input relating to measurement and/or contractual issues to ensure complete and satisfactory tender submission.
  • Assist materials engineer to obtain quotations for the materials required to execute the works by preparing bid packages of drawings, technical specifications etc. to ensure accurate specification of CCC requirements.
  • Co-ordinate take off quantities for all work carried out under the contract, either by measurement of from drawings, applying contract rates in order to prepare detailed and accurate claims for payment and preparation of final account.
  • Prepare detailed claims for payment in accordance with the conditions of the contract, ensuring all claims are fully documented with supporting details.
  • Monitor the implementation of the variation procedures in line with the requirements ensuring that all variations are accurately estimated, authorized, and processed with any relevant supporting documentation retained.
  • Maintain constant contact with the project team to ensure the flow of information and identification of work outside the scope of the contract.
  • Advises client where variations are identified and enters into negotiations for inclusion in scope of work to ensure protection of CCC position.
  • Advise relevant Project Management of any special requirements relating to Contract specified documentation which needs to be created, stored, issued etc. such as monthly payment certificated and variation orders to ensure full compliance.
  • Co-ordinate re-measurement of Subcontract works, including agreeing variation orders, payment certificated etc. validating claims to be passed to the consultant.
  • Provide comprehensive guidance and advice to Project Management on all contractual issues, reviewing relevant correspondence and advising on appropriate courses of action to ensure CCC's interest are protected where necessary and profitability on contracts is optimized.
  • Participate in dispute resolution, seeking advice from the Legal Department, when necessary, with the objective of protecting CCC's position and avoiding arbitration.
  • Recommend for approval, and implement, training and development programmed to meet identified needs within the department and ensure that capable personnel with the relevant skills in staff activities.
