Job summary

Confidential is seeking a skilled commercial refrigeration technician to diagnose faults at customer sites and perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on refrigeration and freezer equipment.

The role involves installing, testing, and commissioning systems, repairing refrigerant leaks, and replacing major components, with hands-on brazing and testing as needed. Strong reporting and customer communication are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial refrigeration maintenance and field service
• Experience with restaurants hotels central kitchens supermarkets or food-service facilities
• Manufacturing training or refrigeration certifications
• Valid driving licence preferred

Responsibilities

• Diagnose refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, electronic, and control-system faults at customer sites.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on commercial refrigeration and freezer equipment.
• Install, commission, test, dismantle, relocate, reinstall, and recommission systems when required.
• Detect and repair refrigerant leaks; recover, evacuate, pressure-test, and recharge refrigerants in accordance with safe industry practice and applicable requirements.
• Replace compressors, condensing units, evaporators, fan motors, controls, valves, driers, electrical components, and other major system parts.
• Carry out copper-pipe brazing, piping modifications, nitrogen pressure testing, vacuum procedures, and commissioning checks.
• Inspect control panels, calibrate controllers and thermostats, verify defrost operation, and confirm operating temperatures and pressures. Prepare detailed service reports and parts recommendations; communicate repair scope, risks, and recommendations to customers professionally
