Job summary

Horizontal Digital in Saudi Arabia seeks a Salesforce Technical Architect to lead the technical design of a large-scale integration-heavy Salesforce programme for a major enterprise client. You will own the Salesforce architecture and guide cross-functional teams in Arabic and English.

Role requires 8+ years of client-facing Salesforce consulting, deep integration experience, and the ability to present technical decisions to stakeholders. Based in KSA with a hybrid work setup.

About the role

We're looking for a Salesforce Technical Architect based in Saudi Arabia to lead the technical design of a large-scale, integration-heavy Salesforce programme for a major enterprise client in the Kingdom. You'll own the technical architecture across the Salesforce ecosystem and the systems it connects to, and make sure the solution meets both business and technical requirements.

This is a hands-on, player/coach role. You'll guide development teams while taking an active part in technical design, solution reviews and delivery. You'll work across the functional, technical, integration and data workstreams, and explain solution choices clearly to both business and IT stakeholders, in Arabic and English. The role needs strong Salesforce and system integration expertise, and a mindset focused on learning and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Design and own the end-to-end Salesforce architecture across Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing, Data Cloud and industry-specific clouds

• Work with business stakeholders and functional leads to turn requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Evaluate and design integration patterns between Salesforce and external systems, using APIs, middleware and event-driven approaches

• Make sure all solutions meet enterprise architecture standards for scalability, security and performance

• Guide development teams through design reviews, best practice and code quality oversight

• Define API standards and data models, including canonical models, to support a well-architected approach

• Support pre-sales activity through solutioning, effort estimation and architecture advice

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including ERDs, sequence diagrams, data mappings and architecture blueprints

Who you are

• You have a track record of designing and delivering scalable Salesforce technical architectures

• You prepare and present the technical design rationale, discuss it with key stakeholders, and drive decisions that provide greater clarity and direction to the team

• You're comfortable working directly with clients to shape technical solutions around their business goals

• You're fluent in Arabic (preferred) and English (essential), and can explain complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to business and technical stakeholders in both languages

• You're skilled at guiding and mentoring developers, and at running code and design reviews

• You take end-to-end ownership of the architecture, staying hands-on in validating your design and maintaining the Architecture Decision Records throughout the project.

• You have a deep understanding of Salesforce platform limits, the security model, deployment architecture and performance considerations

• You have a strong background in integration, including RESTful APIs, middleware platforms, and batch and real-time interfaces

• You're familiar with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce release strategies

• You leverage AI tools such as Claude Code across the delivery lifecycle to accelerate design and development, while analysing the impact of changes and ensuring they are safely validated and rolled out.

• You are able to design data migration strategies across different Salesforce clouds and define mechanisms to validate data accuracy and completeness throughout the migration.

What you bring

Essential

• 8+ years of client-facing consulting experience focused on Salesforce architecture and solution design

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Marketing Cloud (Good to have).

• Fluent Arabic and English, spoken and written

• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Riyadh or Jeddah

• Experience working in cross-functional project teams to understand requirements and deliver secure, scalable solutions

• Strong system documentation skills (ERDs, process flows, sequence diagrams, etc.)

• Proven experience designing scalable integration patterns with external systems

• Salesforce certifications: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce, and one or more Salesforce Architect domain certifications (e.g. Application Architect, System Architect)

• Experience with agile methods, including estimation and planning across multi-disciplinary teams

Nice to have

• Experience with event streaming on Kafka / Confluent, including consumer groups, Schema Registry and Avro/JSON serialisation
• Experience with data transformation and mapping, especially from nested JSON and EDIFACT into a canonical relational model

• Experience with Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Field Service or Revenue Cloud
• Previous delivery experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC
