Job summary

Jazera Arabia Contracting is seeking a qualified Safety Engineer to oversee safety across road and bridge construction sites. The role is fully field-based, requiring site inspections, risk assessments, safety monitoring, and incident reporting to support project teams.

The ideal candidate has a Civil or Electrical Engineering degree, 15+ years of HSE experience, and familiarity with ISO 45001. NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certifications are preferred and field coordination with PMs and contractors is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• 15 years of health and safety experience.
• Proven experience in road and bridge construction projects.
• Extensive experience managing safety on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of site safety regulations, standards and procedures.
• Hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control measures.
• Experience in Health and Safety Plans (HSE Plans).
• Site safety inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Safety for excavation, lifting operations, heights, and heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001.
• NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certifications preferred.
• Experience coordinating with PMs, consultants, contractors and site teams.
• Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
• Strong communication, reporting, leadership and problem-solving.
• Fully field-based role.
