ABIS is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, implement, and oversee the HSE management system for a major EPC/construction project in Saudi Arabia. You will ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulations and company HSE standards.
Responsibilities include leading risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, training, and emergency planning. Candidates should have 12+ years in HSE for EPC/construction and hold a relevant degree with NEBOSH/IOSH certification.
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the project's health, safety, and environment (HSE) management system, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with applicable regulations and company HSE standards.
Develop and implement the project HSE Management Plan. Supervise Safety Supervisors and Safety Officers across the project. Conduct HSE risk assessments and ensure control measures are implemented. Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management. Monitor compliance with HSE regulations, permits, and company procedures. Conduct site HSE audits, inspections, and safety walkdowns. Coordinate HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talk programs. Prepare and present HSE performance reports to project and senior management. Liaise with client HSE representatives and regulatory authorities. Manage emergency response planning and drills. Promote a strong safety culture and behavior-based safety programs across site. Review and approve method statements and risk assessments for high-risk activities.
+12 years of experience in HSE management on EPC/construction projects, including supervisory/managerial experience.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent HSE certification.
