Job summary

Atkins Realis Group is seeking a Cost Control Engineer in Saudi Arabia to monitor, evaluate and control project costs across the project lifecycle. The role supports budget compliance, cost forecasting, financial reporting and informed commercial decision-making.

Key duties include cost planning and budgeting, change assessment, procurement tracking, and integration of cost data with schedules and progress, enabling proactive cost control and forecasting for complex bridge and infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor project budgets and cost control systems.
• Establish cost breakdown structures (CBS) aligned with work packages and contract requirements.
• Track project expenditures against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Prepare detailed cost forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Perform monthly cost reviews and analyze project cost performance.
• Identify potential cost overruns and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support change control processes and quantify cost impacts.
• Monitor procurement budgets and commitments and track costs against budgets.
• Review interim payment applications and evaluate cost trends.
• Support commercial and contract administration teams in cost-related matters.
• Identify project cost risks and opportunities and develop risk-adjusted forecasts.
• Integrate cost performance with project schedules and construction progress.
