Job summary

Mott MacDonald Group in Riyadh seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to support building-structure design across Saudi Arabia. You’ll deliver reinforced concrete and structural steel schemes through concept, schematic and detailed design, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet technical, safety and quality objectives.

The role requires a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, professional status, and experience with international standards and BIM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Post-graduate experience in structural design, preferably with an international consultancy.
• Experience delivering RC and structural steel building structures through concept to detailed design.
• Knowledge of Saudi Building Code and international standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC).
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC region is preferred.
• Proficiency in structural analysis/design software and BIM coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural design calculations, specifications, drawings and reports.
• Analyse reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and foundation systems.
• Develop safe, buildable, cost‑effective structural schemes from concept to construction support.
• Coordinate with architecture, geotechnical, civil, MEP, fire, life-safety, and BIM disciplines.
• Review calculations, drawings, models, shop drawings and material submissions.
• Support authority submissions and respond to comments from authorities and clients.
• Undertake site inspections and technical assessments for compliance.
• Plan activities and monitor delivery against scope, programme and budget.
• Promote continuous improvement and digital ways of working.
• Demonstrate safe, ethical and inclusive behaviours in line with Mott MacDonald values.
