Job summary

Daikin Middle East & Africa is seeking a Project Engineer - Refrigeration based in Riyadh to drive successful execution of refrigeration projects across Saudi Arabia. You will oversee planning, coordination, procurement, site work, testing, commissioning and final handover, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role requires 5+ years in Industrial Refrigeration or HVAC projects, knowledge of NH3 and glycol systems, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration, HVAC, MEP or related projects.
• Knowledge of NH3 and glycol refrigeration systems (installation/testing/commissioning).
• Knowledge of NH3/CO2/HFC/HFC refrigerants and relevant standards (IIAR, ASHRAE, ASME).
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across KSA.

Responsibilities

• Review project scope, specifications, drawings and contractual requirements.
• Support project planning, scheduling, procurement and site execution.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, logistics, subcontractors, clients, and consultants.
• Review submittals, drawings, method statements and material approvals.
• Coordinate installation of Refrigeration systems (NH3 and glycol).
• Monitor site progress for quality, safety and compliance.
• Track progress against schedules and milestones.
• Prepare progress reports and flag variances.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, handover documents and close-out.
