Job summary

GEA Grade is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong ammonia refrigeration experience to perform repairs, commissioning, and ongoing service for industrial refrigeration systems in Medina, Saudi Arabia. You will troubleshoot, document, and report on-site while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The role requires travel, independence, and excellent communication with clients and contractors. You will support service managers, install equipment, and participate in on-call rotations

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering graduate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in ammonia and industrial refrigeration.
• Familiar with P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, Arabic is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work abroad.
• Valid driver s license.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites frequently and work flexible hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance work on screw and reciprocating compressors.
• Carry out commissioning and start-up of industrial refrigeration plants.
• Prepare professional service and assessment reports.
• Report formally and informally to the Service Manager.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and contractors.
• Troubleshoot and assess refrigeration systems.
• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on site.
• Install and commission refrigeration equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with health safety and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs when required.
• Maintain tools equipment and company vehicle in good working condition.
• Travel as required for project and service activities.
