Job summary

Saipem on an Offshore Jack-Up Drilling Vessel seeks a Rig Chief Electrician to lead electrical maintenance and coordinate the electrical team on the rig while ensuring safe operation of all electrical systems.

The role includes acting as Cyber Security Officer (CySO) under IMO guidelines, maintaining SCR and EO systems, and overseeing high/low voltage and DC equipment in line with AMOS. Emphasis on quality, HSE, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma in Electrical – Electronic sciences or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience as Rig Chief Electrician (or similar), with Saipem or non-Saipem rig requirements as specified
• Experience in maintaining electrical systems on Jack-Up vessels and coordinating maintenance teams

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the electrical team on Conventional vessel, ensuring proper operation of electrical systems
• Coordinate maintenance personnel to comply with quality and HSE procedures
• Act as Cyber Security Officer (CySO) per IMO maritime standards where applicable
• Check safety equipment on the rig site periodically
• Maintain electrical systems including switchboards, SCR, EO System, and high/low voltage and DC systems per AMOS
• Ensure compliance with the cyber security model and standards

Purpose of the position: As Rig Chief Electrician you will be part of the Offshore Drilling Business Line with our Jack-Up Drilling Vessel. You will support and supervise Maintenance activities on Jack Up Drilling Vessel with the team of crew and under the supervision of Maintenance Supervisor.

How can you support us?

• Coordinate the electrical team on Conventional vessel, where experience and good electrical knowledge is necessary
• Ensure the correct operation of electrical systems and equipment through co-ordination of maintenance personnel in compliance with superior instructions, ensuring the respect of Quality and HSE procedures and practices
• Act as the Cyber Security Officer (CySO) in line with IMO maritime in instruments, where applicable as per Organization Chart
• Check periodically the efficiency of the safety equipment and devices present on the rig site
• Properly maintain electrical systems, switchboards, related electrical equipment, SCR control system, EO System and all electrical instrumentation including high/low voltage and DC System as per AMOS system
• Ensure compliance with the cyber security model established by the Company and with the applicable standards, where applicable as per Organization Chart

What are we looking for?

Qualification: MinimumHigh School Diploma in Electrical – Electronic sciences or equivalent

Background:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Rig Chief Electrician (or similar) of which 2 year-experience for a Saipem rig. Alternatively,
• Minimum 5 years experience as Rig Chief Electrician (or similar) of which 4 year-experience for a non-Saipem rig. Alternatively,
• Minimum 5 year-experience during which the Candidate has covered the position as Chief Electrician (or higher position).
