Job summary

Saipem is seeking an Offshore Methods Draftsman in Saudi Arabia to deliver high-quality drawings for shallow water and offshore installation projects. You will create layouts for pipelines, jackets, decks, moorings, and subsea components, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specs and standards.

Requirements include a degree/diploma in engineering or drafting, proven offshore experience, and strong AutoCAD skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Drafting, or related.
• Proven experience in offshore transportation and installation engineering.
• Experience with shallow water installation activities (S-Lay, Jackets, Decks, Bridges, Cables, Offshore Structures).

Responsibilities

• Prepare offshore transportation and installation drawings for pipelines, jackets, decks, bridges, cables and offshore structures.
• Develop anchor pattern drawings and mooring arrangements for offshore construction vessels.
• Produce transportation layouts for cargo barges and offshore transportation operations.
• Prepare installation drawings for piles, risers, J-tubes, sleepers, mattresses and other subsea components.
• Support offshore engineering activities related to subsea facilities, including pipelines, flexible products, and subsea structures.

Purpose of the position:

As Offshore Methods Draftsman you will be part of the Expert/Senior within supporting the preparation and development of offshore transportation and installation engineering deliverables for shallow water projects. You will contribute to the successful planning and execution of offshore installation activities by producing high-quality technical drawings and layouts in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

What are we looking for?

Education:

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline.

Background:

• Proven experience in offshore transportation and installation engineering.
• Experience with shallow water installation activities, including:
• S-Lay Pipelines
• Jackets
• Decks
• Bridges
• Cables
• Offshore Structures

Languages:

English (Professional Working Proficiency)

Technical Knowledge

• Offshore transportation and installation methodologies.
• Anchor pattern and vessel mooring drawings.
• Offshore pipeline transportation and installation.
• Jacket, deck, and bridge transportation and installation.
• Cargo barge transportation layouts.
• Subsea facilities drafting.
• Experience with AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Familiarity with offshore engineering standards and installation procedures.

What else should you know?

Some travel may be required to offshore sites, fabrication yards, or project locations depending on business needs.
