Job summary

Saipem is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join the Offshore Drilling line on a Jack-Up Drilling Vessel. You will work with the electrical team to ensure performance and safety of onboard electrical/electronic systems.

Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in Electronics Engineering or higher roles on Saipem or other rigs, with familiarity in drilling packages preferred. A one-year renewable contract and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma in Electrical – Electronic sciences or equivalent.
• Background requires several years of experience in Electronics Engineer roles or higher positions in drilling environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan the electrical maintenance reporting to the Electrical Lead / Chief Engineer.
• Monitor and control on-board electrical/electronic equipment according to safety procedures.
• Define maintenance work setting priorities and proposing maintenance schedule.
• Propose to own superior the required quantity of material stock levels in order to maintain work continuity.
• Ensure the efficiency of the electrical/electronic equipment.
• Ensure that work activities are carried out in compliance with safety procedures and practices.

Purpose of the position: As Electronics Engineer you will be part of the Offshore Drilling Business Line with our Jack-Up Drilling Vessel. You will Work in coordination with the electrical team, where sufficient electrical knowledge is necessary.

How can you support us?

What are we looking for?

Qualification: MinimumHigh School Diploma in Electrical – Electronic sciences or equivalent

Background:

• Minimum 6 years’ experience (during the past 10 years), during which the candidate has covered the position as Electronics Engineer (or higher position, likewise Electrical Section Leader, Chief Electrician) for a Saipem or Non-Saipem rig. Alternatively,
• Minimum 8 years’ experience (during the past 10 years), during which the Candidate has covered the position as Electronic Engineer/Electronic Technician (or higher position).
• Experience with NOV, HMH drilling packages preferrable.
