Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior Java Engineer (Payments) based in Saudi Arabia. You will own end-to-end delivery of secure, scalable payment platforms, leading architectural decisions and delivering robust integrations with external systems.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of professional Java development experience.
• Hands-on payments/fintech exposure is essential.
• Strong Java-21+ and Spring Boot expertise for RESTful and event-driven microservices.
• Experience with Kafka and asynchronous processing, idempotency, and exactly-once semantics.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL/MySQL and ORM tools like Hibernate/JPA.
• Design and implement robust integrations with external systems via REST/OpenAPI.
• Experience with Gradle/Maven and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Terraform).
• Cloud and containerization with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java applications using Spring Boot across production systems.
• Lead technical architecture and define service boundaries and data models.
• Deliver payment platforms and integrations with external providers and APIs.
• Ensure reliability, security, and regulatory compliance of systems.
• Build event-driven processing using Apache Kafka and reliable messaging.
• Collaborate with product, solution architects, and DevOps to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing, observability, and deployment processes.
• Promote code quality, lead reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage production incidents, root-cause analysis, and sustainable fixes.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools with due diligence on security and correctness.
