Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking a bilingual Arabic/English expert to train AI models and evaluate outputs with a native speaker perspective. You will craft prompts, assess translations and conversations, and explain judgments clearly across varied language tasks.

The role emphasizes dialect awareness (Gulf, Iraqi, Levantine) and cultural context, with remote, contractor-style engagement and hourly pay options.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Arabic and English
• Strong command of grammar, style, tone and register in both languages
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to explain judgments clearly in writing
• Experience in translation, interpretation, teaching, editing or bilingual professional work is a plus
• A current, in-progress or completed Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Write challenging, realistic prompts and conversations in Arabic and English.
• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, register and adherence to the request.
• Compare two AI responses to the same prompt and determine which performed better and where they fell short.
• Critique AI-generated translations, conversations, summaries and written content, and explain your reasoning.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence, such as mistranslations, overly literal phrasing, wrong dialect or register, grammar errors, cultural missteps, or ignored instructions.
• Contribute across a wide range of language tasks and subject areas
