Job summary

A leading FMCG company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist. The role entails implementing the HSE system, coordinating training activities, and conducting regular audits across various locations to ensure compliance with national and international standards. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree, OSHA or NEBOSH certification, and at least 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector. Fluency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Job description
Key Accountabilities


  1. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) System Implementation. Coordinate risk assessment of potential occupational hazards, recording of all incidents, review of the assessment findings and follow up on action plans for improvements in all the locations under the region in accordance with HSE Management system and conformance to HSE standards. Facilitate incident investigations of all incidents and near-misses and follow up to ensure closure to all investigations.

  2. Training. Supervise, coordinate and promote HSE and security training and awareness activities in line with HSE management system.

  3. HSE & Security Control Plan the HSE and security monitoring activities at all locations in the region in order to ensure compliance with SADAFCO standards and local and/or international regulations. Review all performance monitoring reports in accordance with SADAFCO standards and procedures. Support and propose HSE and security improvement actions based on assessments done. Enforce contractual and regulatory requirements where necessary. Ensure applying all security policies and standard procedures are followed in all assigned locations. Time and attendance controls of security and HSE staff. Scheduling of staff on a monthly basis and to control expenses on overtime. To ensure reviewing nightshift patrol systems daily and report any discrepancies with disciplinary action taken. Periodical reporting on HSE and security as per the system and policies.

  4. Audits Conduct regular on-site visits/audits/inspections in all the locations in the region so as to identify and correct potential hazardous conditions. Conduct and coordinate safety inspections and/or audits according to HSE plans and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. Perform monthly security and fire and safety equipment inspections per location.

  5. Accident / Incident Analysis Analyze HSE and security-related accidents, incidents and near misses in order to take appropriate action as required to ensure all locations in the region are aligned to HSE standards.

Job Requirements:



  • Educational level: Minimum Bachelor's Degree

  • Specific diploma/education: OSHA or NEBOSH certification.

  • Minimal experience: 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably the FMCG industry.

  • Languages: Should be fluent in English (read, write, speak). However, knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage.
