Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd seeks an experienced GIS Specialist to manage and analyze complex spatial information for rail and infrastructure projects in Riyadh. The role requires strong ArcGIS expertise, geodatabases, and integration with BIM and asset management systems.

The successful candidate will transform project and asset data into structured geospatial datasets, support engineering studies, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to enable informed infrastructure decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS/Geomatics/Surveying/Geography/Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years of professional GIS experience with 5+ years on rail/metro/infrastructure projects.
• Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS, spatial databases, geodatabase development, mapping and geospatial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and analyze GIS datasets supporting rail, metro, transportation, and infrastructure projects.
• Create maps and spatial outputs using ArcGIS and related technologies.
• Design and maintain project geodatabases and spatial database structures.
• Coordinate GIS requirements with engineers, BIM specialists, survey teams, asset management and project managers.
• Prepare technical reports and supporting geospatial documentation for project teams and clients.
• Integrate geospatial information with BIM models, engineering systems and asset management platforms.
• Validate data quality and ensure consistent, usable GIS datasets across the project lifecycle.
