Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Quality & HSE Engineer for our Yanbu QRC to coordinate QA, inspection, and HSE activities across pump repair and manufacturing. You will ensure compliance with drawings, procedures and regulations while promoting a safe work environment.

The role requires hands-on QA expertise in pump OEM/repair environments, strong knowledge of welding, NDE, inspections, and API standards, with reporting to the Quality Manager. Travel to site locations may be required.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in pump OEM/repair or rotating equipment environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, welding, NDE, and related standards.
• Experience with API 610/682 and QA processes.
• Familiarity with HSE practices and permit-to-work requirements.
• Auditing and corrective action experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate QA, inspection, HSE activities across Pump QRC.
• Verify conformance to drawings, procedures, specs, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage ITPs, project quality plans, and release documentation.
• Perform/oversee inspections (dimensional, visual, welding, NDE).

The right candidate **MUST** have direct experience in Pump's OEM/QRC field, and he should report directly to the Quality Manager.**Key Roles & Responsibilities****:****Quality Responsibilities*** Perform and support documented inspections to verify conformance of parts, repairs, and assemblies to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and statutory/regulatory requirements.* Support the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan in line with customer and Flowserve requirements.* Define, coordinate, and control project quality documentation required for repairs, inspections, and final release.* Perform dimensional, visual, painting, and welding inspections according to applicable procedures and acceptance criteria.* Review and verify supplier, welder, and NDE personnel qualifications and ensure compliance with required standards.* Review and approve supplier manufacturing and testing documents and support customer and third-party inspection approvals when required.* Prepare test and inspection requirements for assigned projects, including ITPs and procurement specifications.* Document non-conforming material and support NCR processing and resolution.* Support internal quality audits, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.* Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards, laws, regulations, and customer-specific requirements.* Maintain accurate records, inspection reports, quality logs, and release documentation.* Support operational excellence initiatives and high levels of customer service.**HSE Responsibilities*** Support the implementation of site HSE procedures and safe work practices within the Pump QRC.* Promote compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work requirements, and risk control measures.* Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety awareness activities.* Monitor work areas for unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors and support corrective actions.* Support incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions.* Ensure contractors and employees follow required safety requirements, including PPE, housekeeping, lifting safety, and equipment safety.* Assist in environmental and safety compliance activities as required by site procedures and regulations.* Encourage a strong safety culture through coaching, communication, and daily field presence.**Required Experience and Qualification:*** B.Sc. in Engineering or related technical discipline.* 7 years of relevant experience in pump OEM, repair, or rotating equipment environment.* Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, welding, NDE, and related standards.* Thorough Experience and understanding of machining, assembly, and test operations for pumps and associated accessories.* Knowledge of inspection equipment and tools used in machining, assembly, and test operations.* Thorough Experience working in a repair/QRC or manufacturing environment is a MUST.* Thorough knowledge of API 610 and API 682.* Knowledge of site HSE practices, hazard identification, and industrial safety requirements.* Awareness of HSE requirements for industrial workshop and field environments.* Familiarity with permit-to-work, risk assessment, PPE, lifting safety, and safe equipment handling.* Certified internal/Lead Auditor 9001:2015 is MUST.* Certified internal/Lead Auditor 14001 & 45001 is preferrable.* Certification in Welding inspection i.e., AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 is preferrable.* Certification in Painting inspection i.e., NACE Level II, SSPC Level II or equivalent is preferable.* Knowledge of the established quality standards, laws and regulations of national and international standards.* Safety-related certification or formal HSE training is MUST.* Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitude.* Flexibility and willingness to travel.* Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills.* Problem solving skills.* Operational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard.
