Job description

One of our clients is in the Metal Industry, in Saudi Arabia, and is hiring for the position of Quality Control Inspector.

Industry: Aluminum and Steel Manufacturing and Installation

Years of Experience: 2- 3

Education: Relevant Bachelors or a Masters Degree

Notice Period: Immediate joiners or a maximum one-month notice period.

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Control Inspector with strong knowledge in HVAC and ducting systems to ensure that all project installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HVAC systems, duct fabrication and installation, and applicable quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inspect HVAC and ducting installations on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, etc.).
  2. Conduct routine inspections and tests of duct materials, insulation, supports, air leakage, and alignment.
  3. Monitor and verify duct fabrication processes to ensure quality workmanship and materials.
  4. Collaborate with project engineers and contractors to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, test reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
  6. Verify and ensure proper installation of HVAC equipment (AHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans, etc.) and alignment with duct systems.
  7. Perform quality checks during pressure testing, air balancing, and commissioning stages.
  8. Assist in developing and updating the quality control procedures and checklists for HVAC and ducting work.
  9. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
Requirements:
  1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC and ducting inspection or quality control.
  3. Familiarity with relevant standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, ISO, etc.).
  4. Strong knowledge of HVAC drawings, layouts, and schematic diagrams.
  5. Good communication and reporting skills.
  6. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  7. Certification in QA/QC or HVAC (preferred but not mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience working in large-scale MEP or construction projects.
  2. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and report preparation tools.
  3. Knowledge of duct fabrication techniques and materials.
