Job summary

ABIS is seeking an experienced QC Inspector for insulation and cladding works onsite in Saudi Arabia. You will perform in-process and final inspections, verify material specs and installation methods, and witness barrier and cladding checks according to ITPs.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of insulation QC experience and hold a Diploma/Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, with QC inspection certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on insulation/cladding projects.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; QC/inspection certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on insulation and cladding installation works.
• Verify insulation material, thickness, and installation method against approved specs.
• Witness moisture barrier, banding, and cladding checks per the ITP.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Prepare quality documentation for insulation handover dossiers.

Job description

SECTION I: Job Summary

The QC Inspector – Insulation performs inspection and testing of thermal/mechanical insulation and cladding installation activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

SECTION II: Job Analysis

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on insulation and cladding installation works.
• Verify insulation material, thickness, and installation method against approved specifications.
• Witness moisture barrier, banding, and cladding installation checks per the ITP.
• Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for insulation works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and insulation standards.
• Support preparation of quality documentation for insulation handover dossiers.
