Job summary

Abis Co. seeks a QC Inspector – Fireproofing in Saudi Arabia to inspect passive fireproofing application works and verify compliance with drawings, specifications and codes. You will perform in-process and final inspections, witness thickness checks, verify materials, and maintain comprehensive QC records.

Responsibilities include coordinating hold points with clients and third parties, ensuring calibration of gauges, and contributing to handover dossiers with quality documentation.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on fireproofing/coating projects.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
  • NACE/coating inspection certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections on fireproofing application works.
  • Verify surface preparation, primer, and fireproofing material application against specifications.
  • Witness thickness (DFT/WFT) checks and adhesion tests per the ITP.
  • Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications.
  • Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
  • Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
  • Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
  • Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
  • Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for fireproofing works.
  • Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and fireproofing standards.
  • Support preparation of quality documentation for fireproofing handover dossiers.

SECTION I: Job Summary

The QC Inspector – Fireproofing performs inspection and testing of passive fireproofing application activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

SECTION II: Job Analysis
