Job summary

IC İçtaş Construction is seeking an experienced QC Engineer (Material) to join our road project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will lead material quality control activities, review submittals, and coordinate laboratory testing.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Civil or Materials Engineering, 5–8 years of QA/QC experience on major infrastructure projects, and is fluent in English. Familiarity with international standards and NCR handling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering.
• 5–8 years in quality control and materials inspection for major infra projects.
• Knowledge of asphalt, concrete, aggregates, soil, structural steel, pavement materials.
• Experience with lab testing, material approvals, and NCRs/QA documentation.
• Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, EN standards.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor material quality control activities according to project quality plans and standards.
• Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, certificates, and supplier documentation.
• Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with project specs and contract requirements.
• Coordinate laboratory testing for soils, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, steel, and other materials.
• Evaluate test results and ensure compliance with applicable standards and project specs.
• Monitor material sampling, testing, and inspection procedures across all project phases.
• Prepare material inspection reports, NCRs and corrective action follow-ups.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, labs and suppliers on quality matters.
• Maintain quality records, test reports, approvals, and documentation per project requirements.
• Support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all construction materials meet approved quality standards before installation.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QC Engineer (Material) to join our team for our road project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in quality control and materials inspection for major infrastructure, highway, bridge, or transportation projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials including asphalt, concrete, aggregates, soil, structural steel, and pavement materials.
• Experience with laboratory testing procedures, material approvals, and compliance verification processes.
• Good understanding of ASTM, AASHTO, BS, EN, and other relevant international standards.
• Experience in managing material inspection requests, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
• Ability to review technical specifications, test reports, and supplier certifications.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Previous Middle East and Saudi Arabia project experience is highly preferred.

• Support quality audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all construction materials used on site meet approved quality standards before installation.
