We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Interface Engineer to join our team for our road project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, highway, railway, metro, airport, or major transportation projects.
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and interface management processes.
- Strong understanding of engineering design, construction methodologies, and project delivery workflows.
- Experience working with utility authorities, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project controls, risk management, change management, and document control processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering document management systems.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Previous Middle East and Saudi Arabia project experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage technical interfaces between engineering disciplines, contractors, subcontractors, utility providers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Identify, track, and resolve interface-related issues impacting design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain and update interface registers, action trackers, and interface coordination reports.
- Review engineering deliverables and ensure consistency among civil, structural, bridge, drainage, utility, traffic, electrical, mechanical, and landscape designs.
- Support the Interface Manager in developing and implementing interface management procedures and workflows.
- Facilitate communication and information exchange between project teams to ensure timely resolution of interface conflicts.
- Coordinate third-party and utility interfaces, ensuring alignment with project schedules, technical requirements, and authority regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, technical workshops, and coordination meetings.
- Monitor interface-related risks and support the development of mitigation and recovery plans.
- Ensure interface requirements are integrated into engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes, presentations, and management updates related to interface status.
- Support stakeholder management activities and assist in obtaining approvals from authorities and external organizations.
