Job summary

Penspen, a leading energy services company, is seeking a QA/QC Engineer in Alkhafji, Saudi Arabia to drive the Quality Management System across EPC activities.

You will review EPC contractor quality plans, ITPs and procedures, monitor inspections, audits for ISO 9001, coordinate NCRs, and support turnover and handover with client teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Diploma with QA/QC certificate.
• 10 years of QA/QC coordination experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects (or 14 with 7 years in QA/QC).

Responsibilities

• Implement the QMS across EPC phases and ensure compliance with project specs.
• Review contractor quality plans, ITPs, and procedures.
• Monitor inspections, testing, and documentation, and close NCRs.
• Interface with client representatives and support turnover and handover.

Job Description

Ensure the effective implementation of the project Quality Management System (QMS) across engineering, procurement, and construction phases. Review and approve EPC contractor quality plans, ITPs, and procedures. Monitor inspection, testing, and documentation for compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Conduct surveillance and audits to verify EPC quality performance and adherence to ISO 9001 requirements. Coordinate NCRs, corrective actions, and lessons learned. Interface with client representatives for quality-related matters and ensure timely close-out of quality issues. Support turnover and documentation compilation for mechanical completion.

Required Experience Criteria In Years

Alternative (I): Ten (10) years of experience in coordinating QA/QC engineering and construction activities of which at least five (5) years in performing project quality control/quality assurance activities for Oil and Gas/ Petrochemical projects. Alternative (II): Fourteen (14) years of experience in coordinating QA/QC engineering and construction activities of which at least Seven (7) years in performing project quality control/quality assurance activities for Oil and Gas/ Petrochemical projects.

Minimum Education Qualification Required

Alternative (I): Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Alternative (II): Diploma or equivalent with a certificate from a recognized agency in QA/QC.

The job location will be based on Alkhafji , Saudi Arabia.
