Job summary

Ananinja in Jeddah is seeking a Putaway Team Leader to supervise the putaway group in our fast-growing grocery distribution center. You will ensure goods are moved safely, accurately, and promptly from receiving to storage, while leading forklift operators on daily tasks.

The role emphasizes safety first, with coaching on procedures, use of the WMS for putaway and stock movements, and weekend/peak-season shifts. English and Arabic communication skills are required on-site.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• At least 1 year in a team-leading role.
• Valid forklift/reach truck license with hands-on operating experience.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and MHE operations.
• Hands-on experience using a WMS for putaway, locations, and stock movements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in item, quantity, batch, or expiry.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and during peak seasons.
• Willingness to maintain full-time presence on the warehouse floor.
• Basic English and Arabic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all forklift/MHE operators hold valid licenses; enforce PPE and safety standards; conduct daily pre-shift checks; remove unsafe equipment; enforce warehouse traffic rules; maintain safe pedestrian/MHE separation; ensure safe stacking and rack capacity; inspect racking and report issues; document incidents and near-misses; coach on unsafe practices; keep aisles clear.
• Putaway Operations: Enter received goods accurately in the system (item, quantity, batch, expiry, location); act as final checkpoint for storage; assign daily putaway tasks and balance workload; ensure goods move from dock to storage within target time; confirm accuracy in the WMS; apply storage requirements by product type, temperature, FEFO, weight; handle damaged goods; coordinate with Receiving and Inventory teams; train new operators and coach on safety and productivity.
