Job summary

Accor is seeking a Public Area Supervisor to lead daily cleaning and maintenance of all public spaces within the hotel. You will supervise Public Area Attendants, coordinate with Housekeeping, and ensure areas meet safety, hygiene, and presentation standards.

You'll train staff, schedule tasks, monitor performance, and handle guest requests with speed and professionalism, contributing to a memorable guest experience and smooth hotel operations.

Job Description

The Public Area Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily cleaning and maintenance of all public areas within the hotel. The role ensures that public areas are consistently clean, safe, well-maintained, and presented according to the hotel’s standards and guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Public Area Attendants.


• Ensure all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, restaurants, back-of-house areas, and other facilities are clean and well-maintained.


• Conduct regular inspections of public areas and ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation.


• Assign daily tasks and work schedules to team members.


• Monitor staff performance, grooming, attendance, and adherence to hotel policies and procedures.


• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.


• Report maintenance issues, damages, safety hazards, and defects to the relevant department.


• Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.


• Handle guest requests and respond promptly to cleanliness-related concerns.


• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, safety, and environmental standards.


• Train and coach team members on cleaning procedures, service standards, and safe working practices.


• Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the Housekeeping management.


• Support the Housekeeping team during busy periods and special events.


• Perform any other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or management.
