The ideal candidate has a Geology degree, PMP certification, and 7+ years’ experience in similar projects, with strong stakeholder-management and reporting skills.

We are launching a new joint project with a company that operates within the energy, geoscience, petroleum laboratory, and geological services industry. The organization supports exploration and subsurface evaluation through specialized laboratory services, geological analysis, digital imaging, petrography, and data-quality management.

This project is based at a major exploration core laboratory in the Eastern area and involves the automated scanning, quality control, and analysis of petrographic thin-section slides. The work combines geology, laboratory operations, petrographic analysis, advanced imaging technology, quality assurance, and operational data management to support accurate geological interpretation and exploration-related decision-making.

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager | Digital Imaging & Petrography to lead and coordinate this specialized onsite project. The successful candidate will oversee project mobilization, production schedules, quality control, reporting, and delivery while serving as the primary point of contact for project operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project mobilization, production schedules, quality control, and delivery.
• Coordinate personnel and daily project operations.
• Monitor production activities and ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Prepare daily and weekly operational statistics, progress reports, and dashboards.
• Serve as the primary project contact.
• Coordinate with client representatives and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, confidentiality, data-security, and site-specific requirements.
• Identify operational risks and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology.
• PMP certification.
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing similar projects
• Experience in project mobilization, team management, production planning, quality assurance, and operational reporting.
• Strong project-control, performance-monitoring, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience in petrography, geological laboratories, digital imaging, core analysis, or related energy-sector services is highly desirable.
• Availability for a full-time assignment in the Eastern area.
• Willing to relocate if required.
• Expected to be onsite for at least 75% of total working hours.
