Client of Eram Talent is seeking an experienced Core Logging Geologist to join our mineral exploration team. The successful candidate will log drill cores, manage sample handling, and support exploration programs focused on base metals with a strong emphasis on gold exploration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related Earth Science.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on field experience in mineral exploration.
• Proven expertise in core logging for base metal exploration with significant experience in gold exploration projects.
• Strong understanding of structural geology, alteration mineralogy, and ore deposit geology.
• Experience with geological logging software and database management systems.
• Knowledge of QA/QC protocols for drilling and sampling.
• Ability to work independently in remote field locations under challenging conditions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and geological data management software.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed geological, structural, alteration, mineralization, and geotechnical logging of diamond drill core.
• Identify lithological units, mineral assemblages, alteration styles, and structural features accurately.
• Support exploration targeting through geological interpretation and data integration.
• Ensure accurate sample selection, marking, and preparation per QA/QC procedures.
• Maintain high-quality geological databases and ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate drilling activities and core handling with contractors and exploration teams.
• Assist in mapping, trench logging, and field reconnaissance as required.
• Interpret exploration results and contribute to technical reports and progress updates.
• Follow HSE policies and maintain safe work practices.
• Support resource evaluation by providing accurate geological data.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed geological structural alteration mineralization and geotechnical logging of diamond drill core
• Identify and record lithological units mineral assemblages alteration styles and structural features accurately
• Support exploration targeting through geological interpretation and integration of drilling data
• Ensure accurate sample selection marking and preparation in accordance with QA QC procedures
• Maintain high-quality geological databases and ensure data integrity
• Work closely with drilling contractors and exploration teams to coordinate drilling activities and core handling
• Assist in geological mapping trench logging and field reconnaissance as required
• Interpret exploration results and contribute to technical reports and daily progress updates
• Follow company Health Safety and Environmental HSE policies and maintain safe work practices
• Support resource evaluation activities by providing accurate geological data
