Job summary

Visuna seeks an experienced Geomodeler for a 4-month contract in Al Khafji, Saudi Arabia. The role involves building 3D geological models, integrating seismic, well log, and petrophysical data, and supporting reservoir characterisation in carbonate and clastic systems.

International Middle East experience is preferred. The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare technical reports, and mentor junior geoscientists as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in geological / reservoir modelling.
• International experience preferred, ideally in the Middle East.
• Strong background in carbonate and clastic reservoir systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain 3D static geological models.
• Interpret and integrate seismic, well log, core and petrophysical data.
• Ensure geological data management and quality control standards are met.
• Support reservoir characterisation in carbonate and clastic systems.
• Contribute to evaluation of low permeability and tight gas reservoirs.
• Assist in geophysical data interpretation and subsurface integration.
• Support uncertainty analysis and model validation workflows.
• Work closely with geoscience and reservoir engineering teams.
• Prepare technical reports, maps and presentations.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior staff where required.

We are seeking an experienced Geomodeler to support a key subsurface project within the Khafji Joint Operations asset in Al Khafji

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain 3D static geological models
• Interpret and integrate seismic well log core and petrophysical data
• Ensure geological data management and quality control standards are met
• Support reservoir characterisation in carbonate and clastic systems
• Contribute to evaluation of low permeability and tight gas reservoirs
• Assist in geophysical data interpretation and subsurface integration
• Support uncertainty analysis and model validation workflows
• Work closely with geoscience and reservoir engineering teams
• Prepare technical reports maps and presentations
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior staff where required
