Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering lifecycle (FEED to commissioning) of electrical CAPEX projects.
• Oversee Tier-1 EPC contractors, review design packages, and resolve design conflicts.
• Approve electrical drawings, substation layouts, single-line diagrams, and protection coordination.
• Ensure absolute compliance with SABIC Engineering Standards (SES), IEC, and IEEE codes.
• Oversee technical evaluations for HV/MV/LV equipment (switchgears, transformers, VFDs).
• Prepare Scopes of Work (SOW), cost estimations, and lead technical bid evaluations.
• Drive strict safety frameworks, attending HAZOP and risk assessment reviews.

Role Description: The Project Engineer Electrical will manage and coordinate electrical engineering activities for industrial projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. This full-time hybrid role is based in Jubail.

Role Overview

• Experience: Minimum 10+ Years in Oil & Gas / Petrochemicals
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• License: Must be registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead the engineering lifecycle (FEED to commissioning) of corporate electrical CAPEX projects.
• Contractor Oversight: Manage Tier-1 EPC contractors, review design packages, and resolve design conflicts.
• Technical Review: Approve electrical drawings, substation layouts, single-line diagrams, and protection coordination.
• Standards Enforcer: Ensure absolute compliance with SABIC Engineering Standards (SES), IEC, and IEEE codes.
• Equipment Procurement: Oversee technical evaluations for critical HV/MV/LV equipment (switchgears, transformers, VFDs).
• Commercial Support: Prepare Scopes of Work (SOW), cost estimations, and lead technical bid evaluations.
• EHSS Compliance: Drive strict safety frameworks, attending HAZOP and risk assessment reviews.

Candidate Requirements

• 10+ years of solid experience within the Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical industries.
• Proven track record working from an owner/operator corporate head office or handling major EPC projects.
• Expert knowledge of ETAP, AutoCAD, and industrial power distribution systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to align cross-functional stakeholder teams.
