Job summary

PIPECARE Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will plan, coordinate, and support Safe and effective execution of pipeline pigging and inline inspection projects from handover to close-out.

The role requires reviewing client requirements, preparing execution documents, coordinating resources, monitoring schedules and costs, and ensuring adherence to QHSE standards. Travel and field support may be required for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in project engineering, operations planning, pipeline services, oil and gas, or EPC contracting.
• Fluent written and spoken English; local language knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and project reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate pipeline pigging and inline inspection (ILI) activities from project handover through completion.
• Review project scope, technical specifications, drawings, and client requirements to confirm execution readiness.
• Prepare project execution plans, method statements, risk assessments, procedures, and other required technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Operations, Tool Management, Logistics, HSE, Data Analysis, Procurement, and other internal departments.
• Monitor project schedules, mobilization activities, resource allocation, and readiness milestones.
• Support site execution activities, including launching, receiving, cleaning, gauging, calibration, and inspection runs.
• Ensure pigging tools, inspection tools, ancillary equipment, and consumables are prepared as per project requirements.
• Coordinate third-party services such as nitrogen pumping, compressors, pipeline cleaning, cranes, and temporary facilities.
• Attend project kick-off meetings with the Project Manager, technical meetings, and client discussions; follow up on actions.
• Prepare daily progress reports, operational reports, technical reports, and project correspondence.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, material usage, and variances; escalate as needed.
• Ensure compliance with PIPECARE QHSE standards and client safety requirements throughout project lifecycle.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues including tool speed, communications, and launcher/receiver constraints.
• Coordinate with Data Analysis teams for secure data transfer and reporting.
• Maintain complete project records and close-out documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in project engineering, operations planning, pipeline services, oil and gas, or EPC contracting.
• Knowledge of pipeline pigging and inline inspection operations, associated equipment, project documentation, and field execution requirements.
• Experience with ADNOC Onshore and/or ADNOC Offshore projects is preferred, particularly knowledge of documentation and submission requirements in accordance with their standards.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project reporting tools.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of the principal language of the assigned territory is an advantage.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively and support site activities as required.

Accountable for the timely, safe, technically compliant, and cost-effective preparation and execution support of assigned projects within the approved scope, schedule, and budget.

• Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.

• Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
