Job summary

MOBCO Construction in Jeddah seeks a Project Director with 25+ years of civil engineering or architecture experience to lead major mega-projects in the region.

The ideal candidate will deliver malls, luxury hotels, high-rise towers, and other complex developments, while steering planning, procurement, design coordination, and construction activities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture is required.
• Master's degree is preferred for senior leadership.
• 25+ years of proven construction industry experience.
• Mega/giga project experience, incl. malls, luxury hotels, towers.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams on fast-track schedules.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts and controls.
• Familiarity with Saudi building regulations and international standards.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.

MOBCO Construction is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major construction developments in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate will have 25+ years of experience in civil engineering or architecture, with a proven track record in mega and giga projects, particularly shopping malls, luxury hotels, high-rise towers, and other large-scale, complex developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall execution of major construction projects from inception to handover.
• Direct project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and site management.
• Ensure delivery within approved schedules, budgets, quality, and HSE standards.
• Oversee planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, finishing, commissioning, and close-out.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, project risks, resources, and project controls.
• Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance throughout project execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 25 years of proven construction industry experience.
• Mandatory experience in mega or giga projects, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong project delivery experience in malls, luxury hotels, high-rise buildings, or similarly complex developments.
• Proven experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and fast-track project schedules.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, project controls, and commercial management.
• Familiarity with Saudi building regulations and international construction standards.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
