Job summary

Client of Teach East is seeking a UK-qualified primary teacher to deliver child-centred learning for pupils in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires planning, classroom management and strong relationships with pupils and parents to support academic and personal development.

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Education or equivalent, and evidence of experience in primary teaching, with knowledge of the current curriculum and assessment practices. Arabic knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related subject, or recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching at primary level, with evidence of strong classroom practice.
• Knowledge of current primary curriculum and assessment practices.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan differentiated lessons and adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding, pupil welfare and promoting a positive school culture.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate lessons in line with the school curriculum and standards.
• Manage a homeroom class including pastoral care, daily routines and behaviour management.
• Assess pupil progress regularly, maintain accurate records and provide constructive feedback.
• Differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning needs and support pupils with additional needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes positive learning behaviours.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources, share best practice and contribute to school initiatives.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and extracurricular activities as required
