Job summary

A global technology leader in fire and life safety is seeking a Pre-Sales & Technical Manager in Riyadh. The role focuses on leading pre-sales technical activities, supporting the sales team, and ensuring proposed solutions meet customer needs. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 5 years of experience in a technical role, and strong communication skills in English and Arabic. A transferable Saudi residency (Iqama) is required. Frequent travel (up to 50%) is expected for customer support and events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineering, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong technical background in relevant technologies (e.g., Video, Access Control, networking, Intrusion).
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Job purpose:

To lead and manage pre-sales technical activities by supporting the sales team with effective technical solutions, ensuring that proposed offers meet customer requirements and align with the company’s products and market needs. As well, as the ideal candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, giving the full support till ensure the problem has been solved.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into comprehensive technical solutions.
  • Work closely with the sales manager to support sales opportunities and achieve revenue targets.
  • Address and respond to technical inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as a technical reference point for the region and support post-design clarifications when needed.
  • Support system design, solution architecture and compliance with project requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations and responses to RFPs/RFQs.
  • Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (POCs) for customers.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable and aligned with company standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery.
  • Support pricing and solution costing from a technical perspective.
  • Ensure high attention to detail, quality and technical accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally, to support customer, attend events and complete the POC’s.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Min. 5 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineering, or a similar technical role, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong technical background in relevant technologies (e.g., Video, Access Control, networking, Intrusion, etc.).
  • Proven experience in preparing technical proposals and responding to RFPs/RFQs.
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
  • Must hold a transferable Saudi residency (Iqama).
  • Must have a valid and active membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
