Job summary
Lucid Motors in King Abdullah Economic City (Saudi Arabia) seeks a hands-on Automation Engineer to develop, commission, and sustain PLC-based controls for high-volume production. You will contribute to HMI/SCADA development, OT cybersecurity, and robotics interfaces, ensuring safety and reliability across AMP-2 Drive Unit and HV Battery lines.
Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Controls/Automation and 3+ years of PLC experience, with fluent English and a track record in
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, Mechatronics or related
- 3+ years hands-on PLC-based discrete automation
- PLC/HMI development and equipment commissioning (FAT/SAT)
- Troubleshoot schematics, I/O, networks, panels, safety circuits
- Fluent English
- Able to work safely around automated equipment
- Functional safety, Safe Launch/run-at-rate, high-volume ramp
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and sustain PLC programs, data structures, interfaces for DU and HV Battery equipment
- Lead FAT/SAT, acceptance evidence, and production-release support
- Design HMI/SCADA screens, alarms, diagnostics, and traceability
- Configure and troubleshoot OT networks and cybersecurity controls
- Support vision systems and robotics interfaces across automation lines
- Ensure safety compliance and production readiness with cross-functional teams
