Job summary

Datamatics Technologies LLC is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise dashboards and reports. The role emphasizes end-to-end report development within an on-prem PBIRS environment and strong proficiency in DAX, data modeling, and data connectivity across enterprise sources.

You will implement RLS, optimize performance, and maintain documentation while supporting migration and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing and supporting Power BI solutions in large-scale enterprise environments, including PBIRS.
• Proficiency in building, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise dashboards and reports.
• Ability to independently manage end-to-end report development and support activities.
• Experience in implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and secure data connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports with advanced visualizations and features.
• Create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and business calculations to support reporting needs.
• Use Power Query (M) for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and integration.
• Develop and manage data models including star schemas, relationships, KPIs, and business logic.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting purposes.
• Connect Power BI reports with enterprise databases and data warehouses.
• Create and maintain JSON theme files and reusable report templates.
• Publish, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot reports within PBIRS.
• Perform data reconciliation, functional testing, regression testing, and production support.
• Maintain documentation including KPIs, calculations, data mappings, and report configurations.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with strong expertise in building, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing end-to-end report development and support activities, preferably within an on-premises Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) environment.

The role requires strong proficiency in Power BI development, DAX, data modeling, report optimization, and enterprise reporting best practices to deliver scalable and business-driven analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using advanced visualizations, bookmarks, drill-throughs, tooltips, conditional formatting, and dynamic navigation.


• Create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and business calculations to support reporting and analytical requirements.


• Utilize Power Query (M) for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and integration.


• Develop and manage data models including star schemas, fact and dimension tables, relationships, KPIs, and business logic.


• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting purposes.


• Connect and integrate Power BI reports with enterprise databases, data warehouses, and other supported data sources.


• Create and maintain JSON theme files, reusable report templates, and visualization standards.


• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage report access, permissions, and secure data connectivity.


• Optimize report performance using DAX Studio, Performance Analyzer, and best practices for semantic modeling.


• Publish, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot reports within Power BI Report Server (PBIRS).


• Perform data reconciliation, functional testing, regression testing, and production support activities.
