Job summary

Crown Arabia Can Company Ltd seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing of raw materials, components, and services for manufacturing operations. You will lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and PO processing while ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.

Responsibilities include monitoring supplier performance, maintaining records, and collaborating with production and inventory to optimize stock levels and drive cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience in purchasing/procurement.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and purchasing software.
• Analytical mindset with ability to monitor supplier performance.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage in a bilingual environment.

Responsible for the efficient and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services essential for the manufacturing operations of CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value and favorable agreements.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and track supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, including supplier information, pricing, and order history.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and inventory departments to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and industry trends.
• Resolve disputes and discrepancies with suppliers regarding invoices, shipments, and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant purchasing regulations and company procurement policies.
• Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and process improvements within the purchasing department.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using purchasing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of supplier management and inventory control principles.
• Familiarity with quality standards and specifications relevant to the can manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
