Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience, preferably with high-speed can-making or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience across a wide range of industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on presses, trimmers, flangers, and seaming machines.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement repairs.
• Troubleshoot complex malfunctions and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Execute adjustments and calibrations to ensure machinery meets specifications.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble gears, bearings, shafts, and motors.
• Read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to aid troubleshooting and repair.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with production teams to address equipment issues proactively.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.

Job Summary:

CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd is seeking a skilled Front End Mechanic to maintain and repair industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and minimizing downtime in our manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of front-end production machinery, including presses, trimmers, flangers, and seaming machines.


• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with production equipment and implement effective repairs.


• Troubleshoot complex machinery malfunctions and identify root causes to prevent reoccurrence.


• Execute precise adjustments and calibrations to ensure machinery operates according to specifications.


• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components, including gears, bearings, shafts, and motors.


• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to aid in troubleshooting and repair.


• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and in a timely manner.


• Collaborate with production teams to identify and address potential equipment issues proactively.


• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.


• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is highly preferred.


• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably with experience on can-making or similar high-speed production machinery.


• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with a wide range of industrial equipment.


• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.


• Familiarity with various hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


• Must be able to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.


• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.
