Job summary

JASARA PMC in Riyadh leads planning for large-scale social infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia, guiding schedules, cost and risk through complex programs aligned with Vision 2030.

As Planning Manager you will coach junior staff, coordinate with teams, produce baseline schedules, and ensure adherence to planning processes while continuously improving schedule quality and communications.

Qualifications

  • 10 years' experience in construction, preferably within the Infrastructure sector and have experience of playing a key role in multidisciplinary teams and take a managing role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques
  • Support the management of a team of professionals delivering planning/schedule management services and is responsible for staff development
  • Managing the application of specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques and tools
  • Giving advice on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively
  • Managing the planning/scheduling delivery of medium/high projects/programmes
  • Providing effective and timely advice to clients
  • Understanding of data management
  • Providing attention to detail and ability to validate and check schedule management inputs, recording and reports produced, providing commentary and analysis

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning for large-scale social infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia and oversee schedule development.
  • Mentor junior staff and promote continuous improvement in planning deliverables.
  • Foster communication and collaboration across project teams to improve scheduling quality.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules in line with Consultant/Contractor requirements and WOW.
  • Ensure backup documentation is preserved and accessible with information management teams.
  • Provide guidance on Planning, Cost, Resourcing & Risk to the team and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints with other units.
  • Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation plans to keep programs on track.

JASARA PMC, a joint venture between Public Investment Fund (PIF), Jacobs, and Saudi Aramco, is seeking a highly motivated Planning Manager to join our team. As the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning efforts for large-scale social infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities
  • Manages, coaches and mentors' junior staff to successfully contribute to the department deliverables
  • Consciously seeking ways to improve the provision and quality of services provided to the Project teams.
  • Encourages communication & collaboration with other Teams
  • Continually improve the quality of schedule presentation, information, and documentation.
  • Ensures the preservation of all backup documentation throughout the process, working closely with information management teams.
  • Provides Guidance & support to the team in all aspects of Planning, Cost, Resourcing & Risk.
  • Produces the Project schedule and maintains as per Consultant/Contractor schedule.
  • Ensures the schedule adheres to the Schedule Management Plan, Planning processes and WOW.
  • Resource planning - to indicate the levels of resources.
  • Develops and implements appropriate improvements, ensure optimal project schedule quality, and evaluate reports.
  • Analysis of schedule to identity performance trends, raise for management attention, with mitigation solutions.
  • Review of prepared schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations.
  • Integrates inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties. Works with the performing organizations and units to coordinate work sequences with the total project plan.
  • Identifies potential and occurring problems affecting the work schedule at the site and recommend solutions to the relevant team/department
  • Continually improve the quality of schedule presentation, information, and documentation.
  • Identifies risks and develops mitigation plans.
  • Clarifying the needs of team to ensure the delivery of effective services.
  • Review, and edit Project progress track and reporting
  • To produce Baseline/Target schedules for submission.
  • Planning and scheduling own work to meet required timelines and outputs.
  • Ensures weekly/monthly updating of schedules as design and construction work develops.
  • Manages sharing of knowledge and information within own team and with internal stakeholders
  • Responds accurately and in a timely manner to team queries regarding the content of the schedule submission.
  • Undertakes strategic planning exercises with wider team
  • Provide inputs in setting up processes and procedures to implement it
  • Identifies key interfaces and manages them efficiently to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Manages coordination with commercial function to implement an effective controls system covering budget, cost, reporting, risk, and change management
