Job summary

NEW Alfa International in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced PPC Manager / Production Planning Manager to lead the PPC function within our steel manufacturing operations. You will develop master production schedules and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, 12–18 years of steel industry experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in SAP/ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 12–18 years of experience in steel engineering or heavy manufacturing.
• Experience with transmission towers, steel structures, galvanizing, EPC manufacturing, and production planning & control.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete PPC function and production planning activities.
• Prepare annual, monthly, weekly, and daily production plans.
• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Plan production for CNC, punching, drilling, cutting, welding, fabrication, galvanizing, packing and dispatch.
• Manage capacity planning, manpower planning, and machine utilization.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics.
• Monitor PPC KPIs including OTIF, schedule adherence, and inventory turnover.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete PPC function and production planning activities.
• Prepare Annual, Monthly, Weekly and Daily Production Plans.
• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Plan production for CNC, punching, drilling, cutting, welding, fabrication, assembly, galvanizing, packing and dispatch.
• Manage capacity planning, manpower planning and machine utilization.
• Identify production bottlenecks and optimize manufacturing resources.
• Handle MRP and material requirement planning in coordination with Procurement and Stores.
• Monitor raw materials, WIP, finished goods and inventory levels.
• Review project requirements and establish production priorities.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Galvanizing, Dispatch, Logistics and Project teams.
• Manage SAP/ERP-based production planning, including BOM, routing, work orders, production orders, material reservations and production confirmations.
• Prepare tower-wise/item-wise/panel-wise bundling plans.
• Monitor project progress, manufacturing status, material availability, production completion and dispatch readiness.
• Track planned vs. actual production, downtime, shortages, quality rejections and delays.
• Monitor PPC KPIs including OTIF, schedule adherence, capacity utilization, production efficiency and inventory turnover.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports, dashboards, MIS and management presentations.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, Six Sigma, process optimization, waste reduction and cost reduction initiatives.
