Job summary

Production Engineer – Manufacturing / Steel Fabrication

Location: Saudi Arabia

Industry: Manufacturing / Steel Fabrication

We are supporting a well-established manufacturing and fabrication business in Saudi Arabia with the appointment of an experienced Production Engineer.

This role will be responsible for supervising day-to-day production activities, ensuring fabrication work is delivered safely, efficiently, to the required quality standards, and within allocated budgets. The successful candidate will work closely with Production Supervisors and cross-functional teams including Quality, Design, Project Management and Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise production and fabrication activities to ensure output meets quality, cost and programme requirements.
• Control material wastage, man-hours and consumable usage against budget.
• Allocate manpower, machinery and other production resources effectively.
• Set daily production targets and monitor progress against the fabrication schedule.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Design, Project Management and Procurement teams to resolve production issues.
• Review work orders, technical documentation and drawings before allocating work to supervisors.
• Ensure accurate production records, reports and documentation are maintained.
• Monitor attendance and timesheets for production teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures.
• Support continuous improvement across production activities.

Requirements

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Approximately 5–7 years of relevant experience in Process or Static Equipment Fabrication.
• Candidates with a BSc should ideally have at least 5 years' fabrication-industry experience.
• Candidates with a Diploma should have approximately 8 years' fabrication-industry experience.
• Strong experience working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Good understanding of production planning, manpower allocation, quality and cost control.
• Strong coordination and supervisory skills.
