Job summary

Alfaisal University in Riyadh seeks a Laboratory Operations Officer to provide technical and operational support for pharmacy laboratories within the College of Pharmacy. You will prepare labs, ensure equipment readiness, manage inventory and safety, and assist faculty during sessions.

Required is a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related field with at least two years in laboratory operations, equipment, inventory management, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of two years' experience in laboratory operations, equipment, inventory management, safety procedures, and technical support.

Responsibilities

• Prepares pharmacy laboratories, equipment, materials, reagents, and supplies for scheduled lab sessions and ensures resources are ready.
• Provides technical and operational assistance to faculty, lecturers, and teaching assistants during labs.
• Maintains laboratory inventory records and reports shortages for replenishment.
• Supports routine equipment and facility maintenance by checking equipment and following up on repairs.
• Follows safety procedures, ensures PPE availability, and reports hazards or incidents.
• Ensures work areas and facilities are cleaned and prepared for subsequent use.
• Prepares equipment, materials, and facilities for simulation and specialized lab areas as scheduled.
• Supports faculty research and student projects by arranging required lab resources.
• Provides technical assistance during research activities without conducting independent research.
• Maintains lab records including equipment, maintenance, safety, and schedules.
• Supports QA and accreditation by providing data and documents as requested.
• Liaises with faculty, Facilities, IT, Procurement, and other departments for operational requests.
• Performs routine administrative duties related to university initiatives.
