Job summary

Alfaisal University seeks a Laboratory Operation Officer to provide technical and operational support for pharmacy laboratories, ensuring readiness of equipment, materials, and safety compliance for scheduled sessions.

The role supports faculty, lecturers, and teaching assistants, maintains inventory and records, and assists with specialized lab readiness and research activities under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two (02) years of experience in laboratory operations, equipment, inventory management, safety procedures, and technical support or related services.

Responsibilities

• Prepares pharmacy laboratories, equipment, materials, reagents, and supplies for scheduled laboratory sessions and ensures resources are ready.
• Provides technical and operational assistance during laboratory sessions by supporting setup of equipment and facilities.
• Maintains laboratory inventory records and reports shortages for replenishment.
• Supports routine laboratory equipment and facility maintenance by checking condition and following up on repairs.
• Follows laboratory safety procedures and ensures PPE availability and records.
• Maintains laboratory records and documentation including equipment, safety, and schedules.
• Assists with readiness of pharmacy simulation and specialized lab areas for scheduled activities.
• Supports faculty research and student projects by preparing required equipment and materials.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related field
