Job summary

PPOAR in Medina is seeking a dedicated Library Assistant to join our team for a part-time role. The ideal candidate speaks English, has visa, values organization, and enjoys helping library patrons with checkouts, shelving, and maintaining a welcoming space.

You will assist with programs and events, process new materials, and handle basic administrative tasks such as answering calls and recording loans. Freshers are welcome; local candidates with own visa preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is required.
• Experience in a library or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Must have own visa for employment in Medina.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with finding and checking out books, magazines and other materials.
• Organize and shelve returned materials in the proper location.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library.
• Provide basic reference assistance to patrons.
• Assist with library programs and events such as storytime or book clubs.
• Process new materials and keep track of inventory.
• Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and keeping records of borrowed materials.
