Job summary

Want More is seeking an experienced Librarian to join our Medina library. You will manage the collection, assist patrons with research, and promote literacy in the community.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Library Science, at least two years in a library, strong English communication, and familiarity with cataloging systems and databases. Weekend availability may be required. We offer competitive salary and benefits; biometric passport holders are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library.
• Excellent communication skills in English (fluency in Arabic is a plus).
• Experience with cataloging systems and online databases.
• Familiarity with biometric passport systems (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work full time and flexible hours, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize the library's collection of books, periodicals, digital materials, and other resources.
• Assist patrons with finding materials, conducting research, and utilizing library resources effectively.
• Provide reference services such as answering questions, recommending materials, and teaching research skills.
• Plan and implement literacy programs for all age groups within the community.
• Maintain accurate records of library circulation and use of resources.
• Collaborate with other librarians and staff to improve services and collections for patrons' needs.
