Job summary

Fakeeh Care in Jeddah seeks a hospital pharmacy technician to assemble and dispense medications under supervision, and to re-pack outpatient dosage forms. You will label containers, track records, and manage stock movements to ensure patient safety and continuous supply.

The role requires a Diploma in pharmacy with 0–2 years hospital experience, and a license to practice per the regional health authority. Fluency in English/Arabic is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in pharmacy and license to practice per regional health authority.
• 0–2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Good command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with medication storage, labeling, and dispensing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and dispenses pharmacy medications orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Performs re-packaging of oral dosage forms for outpatient dispensing.
• Labels re-packed containers with appropriate records.
• Monitors storage conditions for nearly expired medications and maintains records.
• Calculates drug amounts to prepare for prescriptions.
• Maintains knowledge of storage and handling of hazardous materials and first aid measures.
• Manages medication stocks from stockroom to ensure adequate supply.
• Ensures patient safety and safe medication management at all times.
• Reports medication errors and ADRs to the pharmacy head.
• Enrols in continuous education on medication management and high-risk meds.
• Educates patients and families about health conditions and treatments.
• Maintains stock of Automated Storage and Retrieval Device in outpatient pharmacy.
• Acts as first line for troubleshooting and coordinates vendor support.
• Coordinates automation maintenance, troubleshooting and downtime.
• Follows Fakeeh Care safety, confidentiality, cybersecurity, and code of conduct policies.

Job description

• Assembles and Dispenses pharmacy medications orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist

• Identifies and appropriately handles the nearly expired medications storage and conditions for drug products and maintains necessary record
• Calculates the amount of the drug product to prepare for a prescription
• Demonstrates knowledge of proper storage amp handling of hazardous materials found in her him workplace as well as first aid measures necessary for accidental exposure
• Arranges the medications stocks from medical stockroom to maintain an adequate supply of the stocks in the pharmacy
• Ensures patient safety and safe medication management are practiced at all times
• Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used non-prescription drugs OTC
• Reports to the pharmacy head any discovered medication errors amp ADR
• Enrolls in continuous education program regarding medication management practices high risk medications medication errors and others
• Educates patients and their families about health conditions treatments and preventative measures if applicable

• Maintain the stock of the Automated Storage and Retrieval Device in the outpatient pharmacy

• Experience: 0 - 2 years experience with hospital pharmacy setting.
• Education: Diploma in pharmacy.
• Language: Good command of oral and written English / Arabic Preferable.
• Licenses / Certifications: License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA)
