Job summary

Ninja is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end warehouse operations in a fast-paced FMCG distribution environment. You will drive inventory accuracy, optimise picking, packing, and dispatch, and lead cross-functional teams to meet service levels.

You will monitor KPIs, implement lean processes, manage safety, quality, and cost controls, and partner with Inventory Control to resolve variances while supporting capacity planning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in warehouse or operations management.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Experience in FMCG warehouse or high-volume distribution.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of inbound receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
  • Good understanding of inventory management, FIFO/FEFO, productivity KPIs and cost control.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and people-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and outbound dispatch.
  • Ensure smooth material flow and compliance with SOPs, SLAs, and safety standards.
  • Monitor KPIs including order fulfillment, picking accuracy, OTIF, dock-to-stock time, and productivity.
  • Lead and supervise warehouse supervisors, team leaders, pickers, and forklift operators.
  • Plan manpower, shifts and productivity targets according to volumes and seasonality.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching and staff development.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement lean warehouse practices.
  • Improve picking methods (batch, wave, zone) to raise productivity.
  • Support WMS, automation and digitization initiatives.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock audits and reconciliation.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance, expiry-date controls and damage-prevention.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Control to resolve variances and shrinkage.
  • Control warehouse costs including labour, equipment and consumables.
  • Optimize space utilisation and material handling efficiency.
  • Support capacity planning, new SKU onboarding, seasonal peaks and volume growth.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, food safety and local regs.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and minimise incidents and risks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment and resolve escalated issues.
