Job summary

AbbVie in Riyadh seeks a Senior Medical Affairs Manager to provide medical/scientific expertise for assigned products and therapeutic areas. You will influence medical strategy, engage external experts, and ensure compliant medical communications within a cross-functional team.

You will deliver scientific education to healthcare professionals, stay current with literature, and support clinical research activities in a hybrid role with up to 50% field time in Riyadh.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred; candidates with substantial experience may be considered.
• Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and Medical Affairs’ role in advancing medical objectives.
• Experience in medical affairs activities, scientific exchange, and interaction with external experts.

Responsibilities

• Act as the medical/scientific voice for assigned product(s) and therapeutic areas.
• Provide expert medical/scientific input into Medical Affairs strategies and cross-functional plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with External Experts (EEs) and academic centers.
• Deliver medical education programs and scientific presentations to healthcare professionals.
• Screen literature and develop key message summaries for internal use.
• Support translation of medical information into compliant core dossiers and promotional materials.
• Provide oversight for clinical research activities and review of protocols.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, AbbVie policies, and ethical guidelines.
