Job summary

John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, is seeking a Reliability Engineer to provide on-site support to customers by performing failure analyses and reliability assessments of rotating equipment, with a focus on sealing systems.

You will lead RCA investigations, troubleshoot field issues, install and inspect mechanical seals, and ensure activities comply with John Crane standards and safety policies; a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with rotating equipment and sealing systems.
• Experience in multinational environments.
• English fluency; Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CRE or CMRP are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform reliability analyses of customer rotating equipment, focusing on sealing system performance and optimization.
• Lead RCA investigations involving sealing systems and rotating equipment, including site assessments and presenting findings.
• Conduct field troubleshooting, diagnose problems, implement corrective actions with customer teams.
• Deliver technical presentations and recommendations to support reliability initiatives and sales opportunities.
• Support customer sites with measurements, seal installation, commissioning, and inspections.
• Ensure work complies with John Crane standards, procedures, quality requirements and safety policies.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through professional technical support.
