Job summary

John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, seeks a Reliability Engineer to provide on-site support to customers by conducting failure analyses and reliability assessments of rotating equipment with a focus on sealing systems.

You will lead RCA investigations, diagnose field issues, implement corrective actions, and present findings to customers, while ensuring compliance with John Crane standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in rotating equipment, sealing systems, reliability, and asset performance improvement.
• Solid understanding of industrial plant operations, maintenance environments, work management, turnaround planning, and scheduling processes.
• Experience in a proactive, multinational, multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform reliability analyses of customer rotating equipment, focusing on sealing system performance.
• Lead and support Root Cause Analysis investigations involving sealing systems and rotating equipment with site assessments, data collection, analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
• Conduct field troubleshooting, diagnose problems, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions with customer teams.
• Deliver technical presentations and recommendations to customers to support reliability improvement, sales opportunities, and RCA activities.
• Support customer sites with equipment measurements, seal installation, commissioning, and technical inspections.
• Ensure work complies with John Crane standards, procedures, quality requirements, and safety policies.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through effective technical support and communication.
